club rules
- Shooters must present a current and valid Firearm’s Licence for the category of shotgun to be used.
- The club expects all members and participants to treat each other with respect and consideration.
- If a licensed shooter has not shot clay targets before, a brief introduction and familiarisation to the range and facilities will be carried out where possible.
- It is recommended that ear and eye protection be used whilst participating and/or spectating.
- Shooters must wear closed-in shoes.
- Firearms can only be loaded when in a shooting stand and given the all clear by the range officer/squad umpire.
- At all other times, all firearms must be unloaded and either:
- inside a gun slip or case;
- have the break action or breach open.
- Firearms must have the muzzle pointing forward when carrying (including over shoulder) or facing down if in gun slip.
- Maximum shot size permitted by law is #7 (if unsure, please check with the clubs Range Officer).
- Minimum permissible barrel length for shotguns is 26 inch.
- Strictly no shooting at anything other than the clay targets, intentionally shooting at wildlife or anything other than the clays, will get you immediately removed & banned.
